IWAYADO AMP CABINET

5E3-size combo, head, or 1x12 extension cabinet crafted in Iwayado-tansu style, a traditional woodworking method of Iwate Prefecture. Laquered and built by hand from zelkova and palownia from Northern Japan, with Nanbu-tekki accents.

Cabinets ship unloaded and are suitable for use with many popular 5E3 kits and various 12" speakers.

Iwayado cabinets are built-to-order so please allow up to eight weeks for production.

ARARE Overdrive

Versatile and musical overdrive with 3-band EQ.

The traditional hailstone pattern evokes expanding grains of rich overdrive.

HANDMADE IN IWATE, JAPAN

KGR HARMONY effects pedals are housed in cast iron enclosures made using a centuries-old technique known as Nanbu-tekki (南部鉄器). They are cast by hand at Oitomi Ironworks in Ōshū City, a forge that has operated since 1848.

Traditionally used to make items as varied as teapots and hand guards for swords, Keijiro Fukushima has combined the technique with innovative circuit design, guided by a finely-tuned ear for inpsiring, musical tone. KGR HARMONY's effects are unique; modern, yet deeply rooted in tradition.

  • SHIZUKU boost

    A transparent boost tone that expands like a single droplet falling on the surface of water, spreading its ripples.

  • KUROFUNE fuzz

    A roaring Ram's Head-inspired fuzz. It features a clear, tight low end with a crisp, full midrange.

  • IRON808 overdrive

    Classic crunch and creamy, harmonically-rich drive. Punchy, prominent midrange-forward voice inspired by classic Japanese designs.

  • OROSHI compressor

    Versatile ROSS-inspired compressor with switchable range control. Smooths peaks and valleys like the brisk mountain wind from which it takes its name.

ABOUT US

Keijiro Fukushima was born in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. He became interested in guitar effects at a young age, going on to study electronic engineering at Tokyo Denki University. Over the course of more than a decade of research, he became interested in the impact of the enclosure material on tone.

In April 2019 he visited Oitomi Ironworks, a traditional Nanbu-tekki forge in Iwate Prefecture, exploring possibilities of cast iron. As he deepened his study of materials, he decided to apply the traditional cast iron method to his effects pedals. Joint development began with Oitomi in July 2019.

KGR HARMONY was established in 2019, releasing the flagship ARARE Overdrive.

KGR HARMONY USA was founded in 2023 in Tacoma, WA.
